ABOUT PHAT CAT Owners Gerald and Kim saw a market niche and started up their limousine company in January of 2001. They exploded onto the scene by importing Canada’s very first custom stretched SUV which was built on a Ford F450 chassis. Affectionately know as the “Beast”, this SUV measured 40 feet long making it Canada’s longest SUV at that time and was the ultimate in limousine experience. With Gerald having an extensive background as an aircraft maintenance engineer their next order of business was to import the first QVM stretched Excursion SUV into Canada. Gerald helped significantly to pave the way for other limousine operators by lobbying for changes in provincial regulations and assisting in certification of different chassis for use in Canada. In the development phase of these SUV’s Kim has been the creative force behind the designs of these unique, one of a kind specialty limousines.
The company motto is “we want to innovate, not imitate”. Gerald and Kim definitely have a fun approach to the way that they do business and are clearly in a league of their own. They state that owing a company doesn’t always have to be hard work.
Their fleet of exclusive, quality high end SUV’s and Limo/Party buses have been in six movies to date, including Scooby Do 2 and a variety of T.V. commercials as well as show casing their limousines. The limousine have also won awards in several local car shows for which they proudly display 8 trophies in their office/showroom. |
